Summer Classes

Ballet classes are available throughout the summer for dancers ages 3 and up.

Primary (ages 3–5)

Must be 3 years old by June 1st

Additional Information

Cost: $65
Registration Fee: $20 for new students.
Dress Code: Current students should follow their current level dress code. New students should wear a leotard, pink tights, ballet skirt, and pink ballet slippers (females) or white t-shirt, black shorts, white socks, and black ballet slippers (males).

Cost: $25 per class, or purchase a 10-class punchcard for $200
(Expires 120 days after purchase)

Intensives

SWBT’s Intensives are rigorous workshops focusing on Technique and Training.

Mini (Level 1): Jun 23–26

Must be 8 years old by June 1st.

Classes will include: Classical Ballet Technique, Conditioning/Yoga, Creative Movement/Improv, Variations, Jazz.
Location: EMCC

Junior (Levels 2+): Jun 2–5

Classes will include: Classical Ballet Technique, Progressing Ballet Technique, Strength, Jazz, Character, Variations, and Musical Theatre.

Equipment for Progressing Ballet Technique —
Dancers will need to bring the following:

 

  • Yoga mat
  • Exercise ball (when you sit on the ball your knees should be bent at a 90-degree angle and your thighs should be parallel with the floor)
    Height: under 4’8”, recommend a 45 cm ball
    Height: 4’8” to 5’3”, recommend a 55 cm ball
    Height: 5’4” to 5’10”, recommend a 65 cm ball
  • Soft stability ball, pilates soft ball, or soft toy ball (about 9” diameter or 22” circumference)

Additional Information

Cost: $200 (10% discount if registered by May 1)

Senior (levels 4+): Jul 21-25

Placement required

Classes will include: Classical Ballet Technique (including pointe), Progressing Ballet Technique, Yoga, Pilates, Character, Variations, Modern, Anatomy, Dance History, Dance Instruction.
Please NOTE: Class on FRIDAY will be taught at St. John Paul II Catholic High School, 3120 N. 137th Ave., Avondale.

Friday     9:00 AM – 2:45 PM (at JP2)

Dancers will need to bring the following:
